BENNINGTON, VT – The Bank of Bennington recently announced that Shannon (Sweet) McLenithan has joined the bank as Vice President of Residential Lending. McLenithan joins The Bank of Bennington after a nineteen-year career with Williamstown Savings Bank, a Division of MountainOne Bank. McLenithan held many positions with Williamstown Savings Bank, starting as a teller in 1994 and most recently Vice President of Retail Lending. McLenithan’s banking experience includes loan operations, servicing, quality control, collections, loan compliance, secondary market and business development.
McLenithan is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Massachusetts College of Liberals Arts. In 2010 McLenithan graduated from the ABA Stonier National Graduate School of Banking in Philadelphia.
McLenithan is a board member of the Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce, a Rotarian, the auditor for the White Oaks Congregational Church, and the secretary for the Green Mountain Friends of the NRA.
McLenithan resides in Pownal with her Husband Dale and their two children.
