Music, food, acrobatic feats and kids’ activities top the events planned for the first of the summers two free streetfests on Manchester’s Main Street on Friday, July 18, from 6- 9 p.m. After the hugely successful Streetfest celebrating the new downtown round-a-bout project the town of Manchester has decided to make the popular event a regular tradition. Main St will be closed to vehicle traffic from the Northshire Bookstore up to Maplefields. Headlining the event will be the rock n’roll music of the Don’t Leave Band, one of the area’s fan favorites.
Wine and beer will be available from the Perfect Wife Restaurant and can be enjoyed on the street. Hot dogs from NanZ’s and Rachel’s Funky Fare along with Thai favorites will help fuel the party. Lining the street will be booths featuring the works of artisans, Maureen Labate and Lauren LaSante along with wood bowl turning by Vermont Bowls.
Activities just for kids will be provided by The Downtown School, Northshire Day School and the Mark Skinner Library. Additional vendors will showcase the new Manchester Riverwalk, the services of GNAT and Serv-Pro.
We hope to see you there!
