Please join Bennington County Habitat for Humanity for a Financial Empowerment Course to be held two evenings in November. The course will cover aspects of personal financial management.
November 7th we will cover the topics “Money Matters,” which includes budgeting and prioritizing financial goals, and “Borrowing Basics,” which explains how credit works. November 14th we will cover “Financial Recovery,” a discussion of the steps to financial recovery and rebuilding credit, and “Your Own Home,” which explains the home buying process and the difference between renting and homeownership.
The course will be facilitated by Dawn Adams-Rea, Branch Manager with Berkshire Bank, Keld Alstrup, Bennington County Habitat for Humanity Board Member, and Shannon McLenithan, Vice President of Residential Lending with The Bank of Bennington.
The course will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on November 7 and November 14, 2016, at the Federated Church of East Arlington, 102 Ice Pond Road. The course is free, and all are welcome to participate. Please register with the Habitat office by calling: 802-367-1000.
