The Bank of Bennington is proud to sponsor the popular Southern Vermont Wings and Winter Homebrew Festival on Saturday, March 9 at the former LaFlamme’s building.
Approximately 30 different brewers will compete for the title of “Best Homebrewer.” In addition, area restaurants will vie for the title of “Best Regional Wings,” currently held by Ramunto’s Pizza.
This third annual gathering is hosted by the Bennington Regional Chamber of Commerce and Hopridge Farms. The 21-and-up festival opens its doors at noon to VIP ticket holders for private tastings of brews and wings. From 1 to 4 p.m., patrons with general admission tickets can enjoy the offerings. Each patron receives a commemorative glass, the chance to try brews and wings, and the ability to vote for the winners of the competition. Tickets are $30 for general admission, and $45 for VIPs.
With the event only a few weeks away, Event Organizer William Gardner says “we are well past the halfway mark” in ticket sales. “They’re going really quick,” he said. “There are only about a quarter of the VIP tickets left.” Since the festival has sold out the past few years, Gardner cautions attendees to get their tickets soon.
