The most common reason for an increase in mortgage payment is a result of an increase in the real estate tax bills. An escrow analysis is mailed every year around the beginning of December to inform you of a potential change in payment. Please keep an eye open for that notice. I escrow for my real estate tax bill, when I receive the paper copy from the Town do I need to send a copy to the Bank? No you do not need to send us a copy. We receive electronic copies from the towns. You should keep your copy for tax purposes.
The system will try for 9 consecutive business days to pull the payment as long as it is from a Bank of Bennington account. If your autopay is with another bank, then it will only try 1 time and then you will have to send in a check for the payment.

The Bank of Bennington uses a third party to assist us in tracking the thousands of insurance policies we are required to monitor. The most common reasons for receiving this notice are: 1. You may have changed insurance carriers and we have not been notified. 2. The property address on your insurance policy does not match the address we have on record. 3. You may have forgotten to make the insurance premium payment or you may have sent it in late. Regardless of the reason please do not hesitate to contact our loan servicing department at (802)442-1640, option 3 or email us at loanservicing@bennbank.com and we will be glad to assist.
